As your counselor, I offer a comfortable atmosphere where you can feel supported and not judged. My goal is for you to leave our sessions feeling confident that you have the tools you need to take control of your life. I adapt each session to meet you at your point of need and provide practical steps you can take to reach your desired goals. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, marriage problems, other relationship issues, or a different concern, I’m here to help you find hope and healing.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My goal as your counselor is to provide encouragement and support, and to build your confidence in the truth that with God’s help, you are able to succeed and overcome your struggles. As we work together, I hope that you’ll see your worth and beauty as you grow into your healthiest self.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
In our counseling sessions, I give you the opportunity to talk openly and freely. Walking alongside you at your pace, I will encourage you to go deeper and challenge you toward growth. I often use creativity in session and love the occasional laid back session where we can sip coffee, listen to music in the background, and have a comfortable environment for talking about life.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
At times, people feel stuck in life, not knowing which direction to go or what purpose their life contains. God can give us those answers and provide a sense of peace and joy like nothing else in this world can. As a Christian counselor, if my client wants their faith to be a part of their sessions and growth, I will make that happen. However, I understand that each individual is different and respect the needs and desires of all of my clients. I look forward to learning about how we can work together to make your goals become reality.
Qualifications & Experience
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Troy University, and my Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Mobile.
My Call to Christian Counseling
As a teenager, I spent much of my time helping friends solve problems and work through their issues. It was at this point in my life that I realized that God had given me a heart for people and a desire to be a cheerleader and listening ear for others.
More About Me/On a Personal Note
I’m from the South and recently moved to Seattle with my husband, who is in the Air Force. We enjoy traveling, staying active, and being outdoors. I love creativity and getting my hands messy. My husband and I have two dogs: a boxer mix named Riley and a pit named Lacey.

A person suffering with anxiety can often feel overwhelmed by the tiniest tasks in their day. Choices can become impossible, and patience can run extremely thin. As your therapist, I will work with you to develop healthy coping skills that can decrease your anxiety as you learn to gain control over your life.
Depression can leave you feeling hopeless and helpless, with no motivation to get out of bed. This feeling can start a cycle of ongoing negative emotions, making it seem impossible to stop. As your counselor, it is my desire to help you find joy again, by identifying the triggers that get you stuck in this downward spiral and helping you see your worth. Together we will find practical, effective ways to get out of these negative cycles as we implement healthy coping skills that will improve your way of life.
Counseling for Teens
Being a teen is hard. You are figuring out who you are and what you believe, not to mention your emotions are running high, constantly making things more difficult. As a therapist, I understand that there are so many things you are faced with. Maybe you feel you don’t know who you can talk to about these things. I desire to offer you encouragement, support, and a listening ear. I know talking about your problems can be uncomfortable or awkward sometimes, but don’t worry—therapy is not always just talking. Creativity is a big part of my sessions with teens. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and to provide the support you need.
Family counseling—these two words can seem intimidating to clients. Family therapy is not something to be fearful of, but rather seen as a means to change the negative dynamics within your family. I believe that you cannot fix a problem in the family if you don’t know the role everyone plays in that problem.
The goal of family therapy is not to point fingers, but to identify how everyone is affected and how to get the family where it needs to be. Family therapy gives an opportunity for each individual to feel heard and to identify problems that need to be fixed. In family therapy, I will guide family members to express themselves, provide an environment to be heard, and encourage and teach healthy communication with one another.
Marriage is bringing two people together as one. This can often get complex, since each individual does not think or act in the same way. Communication can become difficult, which can eventually affect other areas of your marriage.
In marriage counseling, we will discuss your personality types and how this blends with your spouse. We will explore the way you think and the way your partner thinks to see the best and most effective ways of communication. We will provide solutions to conflicts and encourage healthy coping skills. The goal of marriage therapy is to understand your partner’s needs and desires and to feel respected and cherished in your marital partnership.
