As your therapist, I will walk alongside you, help you identify your strengths and weaknesses, and work with you to develop tools to overcome whatever obstacles you may be facing. Whether you’re feeling anxious, afraid, sad, insecure, resentful, numb, or some other struggle, I offer empathy and an unbiased approach as we work together to find a place of lasting peace, healing, and hope. With God’s help through Christian counseling, I am confident that you can find that rope of hope in Christ to cling to when things are difficult. Help is available; I would be honored to witness the Lord’s work in your life.
Puyallup – Mon & Tue
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I offer faith-based counseling for teens, adult individuals, and couples facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, codependency, ADHD, relationship issues, and more. Whatever your reasons for coming pursuing counseling, we will work together to enhance your level of self-awareness, explore your core conflict, and empower you to overcome obstacles so that you can live according to your personal values and God’s purpose for your life. I will listen to your story and offer an objective perspective to help you gain insight into your situation and take steps toward growth and recovery.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My primary goal as your counselor is to help you develop tools to overcome the obstacles you face. I aim to create a therapeutic space where you can feel free to let your guard down and be open about your struggles, hopes, dreams, losses, pain, and joy. My hope is that through our time together you will feel fully seen, known, and accepted, and that you will gain a sense of unrelenting hope for your growth and healing.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a warm, inviting atmosphere where you can feel welcome, seen, and free to release your burdens. As an individual created in God’s image, you already possess the strengths you need to overcome the challenges you face. Sometimes we could just use a little support figuring out how to use the resources God has given us. As your therapist, I will help you identify those strengths and take the necessary steps toward accomplishing your goals and achieving your desired outcomes.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
I enjoy being able to integrate a Christian worldview in my sessions with clients who wish to incorporate their faith into counseling. I believe that ultimately our hope comes from Jesus, and I have leaned on that hope in challenging times in my own life. Because of this, my approach to counseling is to rely on Christ, the true Counselor, whenever possible in our work, and as my client feels comfortable, by inviting the Holy Spirit, prayer, Scripture, and/or discussions about Jesus into our sessions. I believe that it is so impactful for clients to be able to talk openly about their faith, integrating it into their counseling sessions.
Qualifications & Experience
I have a BA in Science and Psychology: Developmental Psychology and an MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.
My Call to Christian Counseling
I’ve always enjoyed deeper connections with others. Hearing other people’s stories has always fascinated and moved me. As a child, I developed an interest in horses that eventually led me to working as a wrangler at a youth horse camp. For several years, I mentored children and teenagers while teaching them all aspects of horsemanship. I loved helping them overcome fears as they worked with horses. Over the years, my passion for helping people receive inner healing continued to grow. I enjoy having those deep conversations with people, the kind of conversations that leave you feeling filled up and cause you to ponder what was talked about the rest of the week.
More About Me/On a Personal Note
I live with my husband and our three dogs. I love horses and horseback riding, reading, being outside in nature, gardening, and meeting friends for coffee. If I had to pick one meal to eat for the rest of my life, I will always say nachos!

Women’s Issues: Infertility
Infertility can be lonely. It may feel like you have lost someone, but how can you lose someone who hasn’t been born? As someone who has experienced infertility, I would like to walk alongside you in your own grief, help you process your disappointment, and help you explore your hopes and fears. Infertility is so complex and sometimes there isn’t an answer to the “why?” My goal is to help you be able to live an abundant life despite this hardship.
Spiritual Development
If you’re looking to grow in your relationship with God or work though some questions you have about faith, I invite you to bring that with you to counseling. Together, let’s dive into deeper levels of understanding and intimacy with God and others in your community through a look at your own spirituality and how it has shaped your life.
Anxiety
There are so many unknowns and uncertainties in life, and it is totally normal to feel worried or stressed about them. It becomes a problem, however, when those stressors become so overwhelming that they seem to be present most of the time. When working with you, I will help you identify your stressors and triggers and learn how to cope with them by finding ways to change your environment or mindset, or by finding healing from past trauma and hurts that might be contributing to the present stressors.
Counseling for Teens / Young Adults
Your teen years are full of change, growth, discovery, and transitions. They can be really impactful and fun, but they can also be really scary, lonely, and challenging. Life is a journey, and it is full of twists and turns. Sometimes the unexpected changes and unknowns of the future can be overwhelming. It is normal to feel stressed and fearful in times of great change, and it can be a great benefit to talk to someone about it. I enjoy providing a space for my clients to explore their identity, fears, hopes, and dreams as they navigate through their teen years.
Individual Counseling
I love sitting down with clients and asking the question, “Who are you?” Diving deep into this question and exploring who you are, what your values, needs, and beliefs are, the hard things you’ve gone through and what helped you overcome them, your passions in life and your goals for your future, can create a solid foundation for you to understand your identity. Together, we will embark on a journey into peeling back the layers and getting to the core of your inner conflict and empower you to overcome obstacles, so that you can live according to your purpose, personal values, and belief system.
