My therapeutic space provides both compassion and grace. I offer a place where you can become reacquainted with your values through God’s love and purpose for your life. With empathy, patience, and a hopeful spirit, I will help you embrace your true identity as we work together to discover meaning in your challenges and find hope that extends beyond your present circumstances. My approach integrates clinical care with compassionate guidance, inviting you into deeper wholeness – spiritually, emotionally, and relationally – while honoring where you are in your faith journey.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
As a Christian counselor, my goal is to create a secure environment that allows you to examine your difficulties while finding your Christian identity and developing emotional, spiritual, and relational growth. Through our sessions, my aim is for you to gain perspective, renewed purpose, and practical tools for change. My goal is for you to feel understood and supported while gaining the strength to live your life authentically with hope, peace, and resilience. My prayer is for you to experience the transforming love of God, which can lead to restoration in your relationships with Him, yourself, and others.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
My therapeutic approach combines clinical expertise with spiritual awareness to deliver client-focused care. I offer a respectful, compassionate environment where you can feel heard, valued, and able to share your story authentically. I also incorporate prayer and Scripture into my practice to help you achieve healing and growth. As your counselor, I will provide genuine feedback alongside motivational guidance and functional tools for transformation. My purpose is to support you in gaining clarity while building resilience so you can achieve lasting emotional and spiritual transformation.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
A Christian counseling approach provides a base of hope, grace, and truth that can bring deep and lasting healing. It allows for integration of spiritual beliefs with emotional and psychological care while respecting the complete person, including mind, body, and spirit. My faith directs my practice by shaping how I see each client: as uniquely created, deeply loved, and capable of transformation through God’s power. Through Scripture, prayer, and spiritual discernment, my work is guided by the Holy Spirit to help clients discover their identity in Christ while finding strength, peace, and purpose in life’s challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Economics from Empire State University and a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
My Call to Christian Counseling
Most of my adult life I spent selling real estate and development properties in New York City. It was often one of the biggest investments that many of my clients would make, and the experience was often psychological in nature. It gave me an appreciation for being with others and supporting them while they are being challenged and making choices that would change their lives. Through this work, I developed a deep appreciation for walking with people through moments of uncertainty and transformation. Over time, I felt drawn to more intentionally support others on a personal level, and becoming a counselor has been a natural next step.
More About Me/On a Personal Note
Spending time with my family, being outdoors, hiking, surfing, and gardening are things I enjoy doing. I also enjoy reading, studying the Bible, playing card games, making herbal medicine, and preserving summer foods. A few years ago, I began a Naturopathic Doctor program at Bastyr University, where I enjoyed learning about herbal sciences and nutrition. This is always something I’ve been interested in and it continues to be an interest, combining a love for nature, family, and health in meaningful and fulfilling ways.

Professional Development
The pressures, doubts, and decisions that come with professional life is something I know well. I’ve walked with people through high-stakes, life-changing moments, and I know how emotional those experiences can be. In counseling, I help you slow down, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters. Whether you’re seeking clarity, confidence, or a healthier work-life balance, I offer a space where you can reflect, grow, and develop actionable strategies – both practical and faith-driven to help you move forward with purpose and peace.
Women’s Issues
As women, we face unique pressures – balancing roles, managing expectations, and often putting others first. If you’re feeling emotionally exhausted, unsure of your identity, or disconnected from yourself or God, I want you to know you’re not alone.
I offer a confidential, nonjudgmental space to process your story, reconnect with your identity in Christ, and heal the parts of you that have been neglected. Together, we’ll gently uncover the areas of your life that need attention and healing. Through a compassionate and faith-based approach, I’ll help you rediscover your voice, embrace your worth, and create space for peace, joy, and transformation.
Individual Counseling
You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin – and that’s okay. Individual counseling is a confidential, one-on-one space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and life challenges. Whether you’re navigating stress, sadness, relationship struggles, or simply seeking clarity, I’ll walk alongside you with empathy and grace. My approach integrates clinical tools with biblical truth to help you gain insight, find healing, and grow into the person God created you to be.
Codependency and Anxiety
If you find yourself overly focused on others’ needs, struggling to set boundaries, or feeling anxious in your relationships, you may be experiencing codependency. I help clients untangle these patterns and move toward healthier, more balanced ways of relating. Together, we’ll work to build your sense of identity, self-worth, and peace, grounded in who you are in Christ. You’ll learn to manage anxiety, reclaim your voice, and cultivate relationships that are rooted in mutual respect, not fear or obligation.
Counseling for Teens
Adolescence is a time of growth, identity formation, and often confusion. If your teen is facing anxiety, low self-esteem, school issues, or family conflict, I offer a supportive space where they can feel safe to express themselves and explore what’s going on internally. Teens often feel pressure to figure everything out, and I provide a space where they don’t have to. I use a warm, respectful approach that helps teens feel seen and understood while equipping them with tools for emotional regulation, confidence, and faith development. My goal is to support both teens and their families as they grow through these formative years.

Holly White, my dear friend of many years, helps me connect the dots in a way that makes everything click—I end up recognizing what I’m contributing to situations and, from that clarity, I choose my own next steps. She’ll offer a few gentle nudges and possibilities, but the process stays in my hands, and I feel lighter and more capable after talking with her, not stuck in a loop of repeating the same story. A little bit of her mindfulness rubs off onto me every time I see her. I am becoming a better person in this way. The best blessing I could give anyone is time with Holly.m –

Holly, my dear friend of many years, has a way of gently surfacing what’s really going on so I can see my own role in it—and then I’m the one who decides to change, with her offering subtle, practical suggestions while I choose what fits, when, and how. It almost feels like magic (in the best way), because instead of just rehashing complaints and leaving drained like with some counselors/talking with other friends, I walk away clearer, empowered, and in control of how to solve it.m –

Before Holly became a Counselor, she was studying to become a Naturopathic Physician. Her heart to see people journey towards wellness ultimately had her look beyond just the physical to a deeper level of emotional health. She is a solution-oriented, empathetic professional who I highly recommend to those looking for an amazing Counselor.Devin Cazares
