With over 11 years in the mental health field, I bring extensive education and clinical experience to each session. I will work with you to determine which therapeutic interventions work best for you and help you learn how to stay consistent in using them. I will actively listen to your story and help you find ways to heal and grow as a person and in your faith. With honesty and authenticity, I provide compassionate guidance balanced with faith-based accountability to help you make meaningful progress toward your goals.

Online (WA only) – Mon, Tue & Sat
As your therapist, I will be genuinely invested in your growth. We won’t just focus on surface-level symptoms; I will work with you to uncover the underlying causes and understand the root of each issue. From there we will craft an individualized treatment plan to meet your needs. Therapy is not “one size fits all.” We will continue to tweak the plan until it works for you. I will meet you where you are and work at your level, using my knowledge and experience with multiple therapeutic models to help you recover and heal, with God’s help.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My ultimate goal is for you to find your identity and healing in Christ Jesus. I will actively engage with you and provide a confidential space for you to heal. My aim is to for you to be both challenged and supported as you grow in ways that feel grounded and authentic. Through our time together, I hope you will gain clarity, insight, and effective tools to provide not just temporary relief but lasting change.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a welcoming, confidential space where you can feel comfortable sharing your story. As we get to know each other in session, we will focus on your strengths as we move toward healing and positive change. With a gentle approach drawing from various proven therapeutic methods, I will consider not only your emotions but also seek to understand your triggers and reactions. Together we will determine the best treatment plan to meet your needs and goals.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
My focus as a Christian therapist is always to see my clients as Jesus sees them, as someone who is hurting and needs healing. When I am working with a client, I encourage them to grow in their faith through prayer, Bible reading, journaling, reading other books, or listening to podcasts or YouTube videos. I frequently pray for my clients and seek the Lord to give my clients the support that they need to heal. In addition, I consistently learn and review other theories and take trainings to provide my clients with up-to-date knowledge and interventions.
Qualifications & Experience
With 11 years of experience in the mental health field, I hold a BA in Psychology from The University of Akron and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University. I am currently working toward a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy at National University. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and have completed an externship in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I have also served as a Labor and Post Partum Doula, a La Leche League Leader, and a Small Group Leader. Previously, I was actively involved in lay counseling roles, and I have always had a heart to serve women and their families.
My Call to Christian Counseling
I had often been told that I would make a great counselor because of my ability to actively listen and build others up. I decided to return to school for a degree because I was already in lay counseling roles. I felt that the Lord wanted me to do more, and that meant getting the education to follow where He was leading me. I wanted to honor God while helping others.
More About Me/On a Personal Note
I am an artist. My favorite way of expressing my artist self is through drawing, writing, or photography. I love to watch Champion or Premier league futball games; my favorite team is Tottenham Hotspurs. I also love swimming, taking small hikes, and traveling, even if it is just a day trip.

Couples Counseling
Depending on the struggles you are facing in your relationship, I offer a variety of therapeutic methods to meet your needs and help you heal and strengthen your bond. Many couples struggle with how to communicate in a healthy manner. In couples counseling, I teach couples how to use the Imago Dialogue, which promotes understanding, active listening, and empathy. I use quite a bit of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy as well, which is a gentle approach that looks at attachment and emotions.
I will help you and your partner learn your triggers and how you can make sense of the trigger and your partner’s behavior. Then we will work on how to heal from the triggers by changing the behavior that hurt your partner. We may also work on a genogram to learn what patterns existed in your family of origin and how you continue those patterns. We could also explore attachment wounds and how those wounds affect your marriage. If you and your partner are struggling with only one issue, I will use a Solution-Focused approach, which looks at your strengths. We will collaborate to find a fair solution.
Women’s Issues
When I am counseling a woman on women’s issues, I bring into the session my knowledge as a Christian mother of 11 children and a prior Labor and Postpartum Doula. I will offer a confidential space for you to process your struggles without fear of judgment. I have often found as a therapist that many issues stem from learned patterns from our families. I will work with your strengths to find new ways to cope with life as you also learn to get rid of old, negative patterns.
Trauma
In trauma counseling, I use Polyvagal Theory to map out your nervous system. I will help you map out your automatic responses, which helps you better understand why you feel the way you do and why you make the choices you make. We will also discuss practical ways for you to process your trauma. As we progress through therapy, I will teach you how to regulate your emotions, work on your interpersonal relationships, tolerate stress, and learn to be present in the moment.
Infidelity and Affairs
When I am working with couples with a history of affairs or infidelity, I have found that infidelity is often a symptom of something else. Usually there are problems within the marriage and I will work with you and your partner to identify those issues and collaborate to resolve them in a respectful, healthy way. We will also seek to identify the triggers in each partner and take steps to work through them in a healthy manner.
Family Counseling
When engaging in family counseling, I set out to collaborate with the family on boundaries to maintain safety for all members of the family. I remind the family that no one person is the sole reason for the problems they are struggling with. I provide a welcoming space for every member of the family to have a voice and share their struggles and concerns. We will work to understand the family patterns, look at how the family is modeled, and learn how the family is set up as a hierarchy. I will work with you and your family on communication, problem solving, setting up boundaries, and changing hurtful behaviours.

Testimonials
When i began therapy, I was in a very bad place in my life. But Rose was caring, thoughtful and non-judgemental. She listened and let me talk through my grief and truma. She taught me how to work through issues that may come up instead of internalizing. I realize the weight is not mine to carry alone.Angela Bogart
